Check these out!! Here are my years of collection of match boxes over 18 years...they post a special memories of different stage of life in Singapore, many are from very well-known restaurants of the old days!
Back then, most men don't carry lighter with them, mainly because lighters wasn't as easily available then, also it'll be too costly to loose one.
As name cards wasn't printed so widely in those days, thus many restaurants and night spots have their shop's name specially printed on the match box to give away to customers as a form of advertisement
Men love to carry them around to show off to friends where about they used to hang out! Strangely it works! Heee... usually it'll invites wooo... and arrr... whoooooww.....
Later as years passed, there were many decent logo take on the same platform to boost the magnificent buildings that slowly erupt from the humble ground of Singapore, as you can see, I even have the sea game match boxes!!!
If you ask me why I bother to keep them, well then I must say, each stick of match tells me how wonderful it was to grow with my humble country, some of the buildings printed are still standing proudly till today, I love you SINGAPORE
